Crush Rewards App Review: Turn Grocery Receipts Into Stock Market Investments

If you’ve been searching for a new money making app, receipt scanning app, or one of the best iOS apps that pay real money, the Crush Rewards app is unlike anything I’ve tested before.

Most receipt apps pay you with gift cards or cash back.

Crush Rewards takes a completely different approach by letting you turn your grocery receipt rewards into stock market investments.

That claim sounded almost too strange to believe, so I downloaded the app, linked my account, scanned my receipts, purchased stock, and tested the cash-out process myself.

Here’s everything you need to know.

What Is Crush Rewards?

Crush Rewards is an iPhone-only receipt rewards app that allows users to earn rewards from everyday shopping.

Like other receipt scanning apps, you upload grocery receipts to earn rewards.

Where Crush Rewards separates itself from competitors like Fetch Rewards, Ibotta, and Receipt Hog is what happens next.

Instead of redeeming your rewards for gift cards or PayPal cash, Crush Rewards lets you convert those rewards into cryptocurrency and tokenized stock market investments.

That’s a completely different approach than most cashback apps.

How Does Crush Rewards Work?

Getting started is fairly straightforward.

Download the Crush Rewards app (currently available on iOS).

Create an account.

Link your bank account.

Scan grocery receipts.

Earn rewards.

Convert your rewards into investments.

The app currently supports investments including:

Apple

Amazon

Microsoft

NVIDIA

Alphabet (Google)

Meta

Tesla

SpaceX

Gold

S&P 500

Nasdaq (QQQ)

This is one of the first receipt scanning apps I’ve seen that combines shopping rewards with investing.

My Experience Testing Crush Rewards

I wanted to know if this was actually legitimate or simply clever marketing.

After scanning receipts and earning rewards, I decided to purchase approximately $6 worth of Amazon.

The purchase process required a small amount of Solana cryptocurrency.

That was my first clue that Crush Rewards is built on crypto infrastructure rather than a traditional brokerage.

Once the purchase completed, I owned Amazon exposure inside the Crush app.

However, I quickly discovered something important.

Can You Transfer Your Stocks?

This is probably the biggest question people will have.

The answer is…

Not directly.

Unlike Robinhood or Fidelity, you can’t simply transfer your Amazon position into another brokerage account.

Instead, the investments remain inside the Crush ecosystem.

If you want to cash out, you convert the investment back into cryptocurrency before sending it to a crypto exchange where it can eventually be converted into cash.

This doesn’t necessarily make the app bad.

It simply means Crush Rewards functions differently than a traditional stock brokerage.

Think of it as a crypto-first rewards platform that gives users exposure to stock market investments.

Is Crush Rewards Really Buying Stocks?

One interesting detail I noticed during testing is that the investments appear as assets such as:

AAPLx

AMZNx

MSFTx

SPYx

rather than traditional stock symbols.

That suggests these are tokenized representations of stocks rather than shares held in a standard brokerage account.

For most users, the practical experience is similar because the value tracks the underlying investment, but it’s an important distinction to understand before using the app.

Pros

✔ Unique concept

✔ Earn rewards from grocery receipts

✔ Multiple investment choices

✔ Modern crypto integration

✔ Easy setup

✔ Different from traditional cashback apps

Cons

✘ Currently iPhone only

✘ Requires Solana for certain transactions

✘ Investments remain inside the Crush ecosystem

✘ Not a traditional brokerage account

Is Crush Rewards Worth Using?

I actually like the idea behind Crush Rewards.

There are already dozens of apps that pay cash back.

There are already countless crypto wallets.

Crush Rewards attempts to combine both worlds into something new.

Rather than redeeming receipt rewards for another gift card, you have the option to grow those rewards through investments.

Whether that approach becomes mainstream remains to be seen, but it’s certainly one of the most innovative receipt apps I’ve tested recently.

Final Verdict

If you’re looking for:

Best receipt scanning apps

Apps that pay real money

iPhone money making apps

Passive income apps

Cashback apps

Investing apps

Crypto rewards apps

then Crush Rewards is worth checking out.

Just understand that it behaves more like a crypto-native investing platform than a traditional stock brokerage.

That isn’t necessarily a drawback—it simply means you should know exactly how the platform works before investing your rewards.

If you enjoy discovering brand-new money making apps before everyone else, Crush Rewards is definitely one to keep on your radar.
